Credit products for women

Women’s credit products include:

  1. The Savings and Credit with Education Program (SCE). This program enables impoverished rural women to form small groups called Village Savings and Credit Unions (VSCUs) and obtain loans to support income-generating activities.
  2. The Intermediate Credit Association (ICA): This program allows emerging women within VSCUs to access larger loan amounts.
  3. The Women Traders’ Credit (WTC): This program meets the credit needs of urban and peri-urban women traders engaged in income-generating activities.
  4. The Emerging Women Entrepreneurs’ Credit (EWEC): This program enables individual women or women traders (WTCs or groups) to strengthen their production capacities and better exploit emerging opportunities.

Trade credit

Trade credit is comprised of:

  • Inventory credit: supplies, campaign credit, etc.
  • Sector-specific credit
  • Equipment credit
  • Credit for pre-financing contracts: advances on contracts.

Agricultural credit

Agricultural credit: it allows beneficiaries to acquire the necessary resources for their agricultural activities and includes:

  • Input credit: seeds, fertilizers, insecticides, etc.
  • Equipment credit: oxen, plows, tractors, carts, etc.
  • Bull fattening credit
  • Supply chain credit
  • Market gardening credit

Consumer credit

Consumer credit allows borrowers to settle in, furnish their homes, or finance major purchases through:

  • salary advances
  • social loans (for baptisms, weddings, funerals, etc.)
  • furniture loans
  • party loans
  • school loans
  • vehicle loans
  • home loans
  • health loans
