Tribute to JDD for 12 years of service to agricultural financing and human development
On the occasion of Jean de Dieu SANON’s retirement, the Federation of People’s Credit Unions of Burkina Faso (FCPB) pays tribute to a man whose commitment, competence, and humanity have left a lasting mark on agricultural financing within the RCPB.
Joining the RCPB in 2013 as part of the Microleasing pilot program, Jean de Dieu SANON, also known as JDD, an agricultural engineer trained in Ukraine, was a key player in this innovation designed to meet the agricultural equipment needs of rural producers. As an Agricultural Technical Advisor based in Bobo-Dioulasso, he contributed rigorously to the project’s implementation, the training of Credit Union staff, the development of technical tools, and the strengthening of partnerships.
Following the discontinuation of the Microleasing program, JDD demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability. Assigned to the Center, he successfully supported several regional offices, notably Kaya, Léo, and Pô, contributing to improved agricultural financing and leading the TRIAS partnership, now replicated in other technical departments.
Beyond his recognized professional expertise, JDD will be remembered as a humble, approachable, and generous man who shared his knowledge. His attentiveness, his commitment to human values, and his dedication to knowledge transfer inspired many colleagues.
During the ceremony held on December 30, 2025, testimonials praised the impact of his work in the field. Speaking at the ceremony, JDD expressed his gratitude to the umbrella organization, his colleagues, and partners, while encouraging the next generation to take a greater interest in green finance.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a BAORE award, a symbol of the institution’s appreciation.
Wishing you a peaceful retirement, JDD. May this new stage be as fruitful as the furrows you have plowed at RCPB.
RCPB Workers’ Children’s Day
The Executive Board of the Workers’ Mutual Fund of the Burkina Faso People’s Credit Union Network organized ceremonies in the regions in December 2025 and January 2026 to celebrate the Children’s Day of the members of the Burkina Faso People’s Credit Union Network. Many children and parents shared moments of interaction, conviviality, and togetherness.
The 2025 edition was notable for the presence of senior officials from the RCPB entities, who spent time with our children, including the Director General herself at the Ouagadougou event held on December 28, 2025, at Bibi Parc.
See you in 2026!
